Gynaecologist and Obstetrician and Laparoscopic Surgeon. She passed MBBS from Calcutta National Medical College, Kolkata. She completed her MS from Chittaranjan Seva Sadan College of Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Child Health, Kolkata, where she scored highest marks in Gynae and Obs in the College. Her thesis was presented in various conferences and was awarded recognition for it. She subsequently did her DNB from the National Board of Examinations, Delhi. She was conferred MRCOG 1(membership of Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, London). She has participated and successfully completed various courses on infertility, ART, USG, Folliculometry, laparoscopy, and Hysteroscopy from different institutes. She has presented papers and posters in various conferences and has acclaimed national recognition for them. Dr Sumona Ghosh Banerjee has been invited to deliver lectures in many conferences at the regional and national level. She has many research publications in peer and esteemed journals. She is a member of Bengal Obstetric and Gynaecological Society (BOGS).
